Newbie - How to create bar chart with Y-axis from 1.0 to 5.0?!
Hi. I just started using Filemaker Pro 12, which includes charting. I have some "average" fields that average students' opinions on a number of questions on a 1-2-3-4-5 scale.
So, in a print report, when I do a sub-summary section on, for example, the AVERAGE 3.7 on a 1-5 scale, I don't understand how (on a vertical bar chart) to set a Y axis scale from 1.0 to 5.0. All I can find in tutorial books and in Filemaker help is the use of TWO fields, one for the X axis and one for the Y axis. How do I create the range on a bar chart?!!!
[If I create a quick vertical bar chart, it generates a range from 0 to whatever fits in the little window - like 6.5 or 7.0 or whatever. I want it specifically 1.0 at the zero Y coordinate to a limit of 5.0 at the top of the Y axis.]
Thanks for any help you can provide - even things that should be simplicity itself seem to be totally baffling in this software!
In Chart Setup, there's a section named "Axis options". Have you tried selecting the y-axis tab and specifying minimum and maximum values?
