Newbie Question - Limiting Access to Fields by User

      Post

Hi all, this is a total rookie question, but searching for the answer has already taken me an hour.

I'm futzing with the Instant Web Publishing aspect of FMPAv11 and I want to have 4 people access the DB.

John, Mike, Rob, and Doug for example.

There is a field in the table.  It is named "Assigned To" that contains a dropdown list of either John, Mike, Rob and Doug.

How can I limit each login so they can ONLY view and edit their own assigned records?

First one to answer gets a virtual high five from someone who 1 year ago didn't even know what a relational database was.

      -------

EDIT:  SOLVED!  Thanks Sorbsbuster.  HI FIVE!!

Assign each of their log-in accounts to a Privilege Set (File -> Manage -> Security)

Go to Privilege Sets, select their Set, click Edit, then edit their Record Access to be by Custom Privileges, and set their access at Record Level to be:

          Get (AccountName ) = AssignedTo

If their Account Name is the same as the 'Assigned to' name then they will only be able to see their own records in that table.
