Not able to initiate emails (individual or group) in FMP 9 / Vista / Outlook Express
One of our users is experiencing a crash of FMP 9 whenever she tries to initiate an email from a contact or to a found set of contacts. She has newly installed both Vista and Office 2007 and is using Outlook Express.
The error message appears to be coming from Windows rather than FMP - as soon as she clicks an email button in FMP she gets an error message saying that Windows has detected a problem and is going to shut the problem down (badly translated from Spanish!). It then hangs there for a while and shuts Filemaker down.
Our developer thinks that Windows thinks that it's under a spam attack. He isn't sure what's going on as he doesn't have any experience with Vista and he can't really figure out what the error messages are telling him in Spanish.
