Has this file always been a file local to your work station or has it been hosted by a different machine with either FileMaker Pro or Server part of the time?
If you have connected as a client of a hosted database, your most recent found set will not be retained--so that is one possibility.
Other things to check:
Layouts to the same data source table may have different found sets if they refer to different table occurrences or if they were in different windows.
Any scripts that may be performing automatically that alter your found set.
I haven't 11 but, if it is still like 10, try to change view ( for example from list to table and back to list view ) after the find and before closing the file. ( It appears to be a bug )
Thanks for your prompt responses. This is only a local file and has never been hosted by another computer with either FileMaker Pro or Server.
The reply posted by raybaudi seems to hit the nail on the head. If I simply change to 'View as Table' and then right back to 'View as List' and then close the file, when I re-open the file it 'remembers' the last results screen from the last find command that was performed.
So, I agree with you that this appears to be a bug in this version of the software and hopefully the folks at FileMaker can fix this in a future update.
Thanks again for your help...
