ODBC from Windows won't return Text

ODBC from Windows won't return Text

I'm trying to query a filemaker instance via ODBC from Windows and the queries will ONLY return numeric/date data, if a Text column is included in the query the field comes back blank.

I've verified that both my source (Filemaker) and destination (MS Access) tables/columns are all text of the same length and I've also followed this ...

... to make sure the max length is set and the data still won't come through.  I've also tried wrapping the text field in a substring() function to limit the number of characters coming back and the text data just won't come through.  There are no SQL errors that I can tell.

Is there some trick to getting Text data to come back through via ODBC?
