Oldie but Goodie

Post

Welcome all,

I have been using FMP since the day it came out in the '80s. I am now using 5.5 on a net with approximately 10 machines. It meets our needs completely, or at least it did until today.

I want to be able to insert PDF files into a container field. When I click in the container field and go to "Insert" and then "Picture" I get a dropdown list to find the file but ALL the jpeg, pdf and other files are greyed out. In other words, I can't select any. BUT, if I go to the finder and open the particular pdf in Preview and then do a "copy", I can paste the pdf into he container field, I just can't navigate to it.;  Also, there is language regarding selecting the option to just put in a reference to the document instead of the actual document in a script but when I go to the Insert Picture on the script I am given no such option. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I will be eternally grateful.

Thanks
