Omit records when no related records

Omit records when no related records

I have two tables - dog registration and dog license, linked by dog id.  There are records in the dog registration table that do not have related dog license info.

I need to print letters to send to owners to remind them to reregister.  I am doing a find on layout entry script that looks for deactivate = No in the dog registration table.  I also need to eliminate records from printing when there is no related dog license info.  I've tried several things, but can't seem to get the mechanics to work.

From the dog registration layout, you can use this method manually or in a script:

          Enter find mode

put "no" in the deactivate field.

Enter an * field from dog license that is never empty.

          Perform your find.

This will find all dog registration records with "no" in the deactivate field that also has a related dog license record
