    on record modification/creation mail

      on record modification/creation mail

I want to notify somebody if a record is changed/created, the problem is: most of the users use IWP, that doesn't support triggers...

is there a workaround for this?  At the moment I solved it by adding a scheduele one my Filemaker Server Advanced that runs every 24 hous to check if a field 'just created' is true, sends a mail, and replaces the value by false...
The problem with this is that if a record is changed a few times in 1 day, only 1 notification will be send...

Does anybody know a workaround for this?  something like adding a watch on a table of my table in FM Server Advanced?

Perhaps you can define your interface so that the user must click a button each time they need to navigate to a different record. Part of the script attached to that button could then check a modification timestamp against a second timestamp field storing the previous modification timestamp or a log table of modification timestamps to determine if the record was modified.
