    One to many Report

      One to many Report

      Post

           I have 2 tables:

           Audit (fields:  AuditID, Supervisor, EmployeeName)

AuditItems (fields:  AuditItemID, FKAuditID, Note, Date)

There is a relationship between the tables that links AuditID to FKAuditID and the relationship allows creation of records.  When I perform a find on Employeename, sort by summary fields and preview the report, it has all rows not the find criteria.  It seems as thought I have to do my find in the report layout to get the correct records from AuditItems. I'm not sure what I'm missing here and would appreciate any assistance

Exactly correct. But you could perform the find on the Audit layout and use Go To Related Records with the Show Only Related Records, Match Found Set Options to pull up the records that you want on the AuditItems layout.

But performing the find for a selected Employee on the Audititems layout is likely to be faster.
