Online host for casual user
I have a very small databse (under 3mb) and am about to only use an iPad and no desktop/laptop (filemaker file saved on dropbox). Any cost-efficient places to host tiny databases for infrequent users?
The databases doesn't have to be hosted just copy the whole database to the iPad. You can download your database to the iPad from dropbox or you can use iTunes.
Thanks, I guess I'll just do it from the dropbox app. If I then make changes, are they saved on the filemaker app? Just want to make sure that if I break my iPad my edited database is saved somewhere else.
Keep in mind, after you open your file and use it in Go, when you close the updated file it is not in Dropbox, but on your device.
Ok, so I assume emailing it to myself occasionally is the best back-up plan?
email or iTunes.
