OS X Mavericks and FM Pro 13
Has anyone had any OS X Mavericks and FM Pro 13 problems or are there any that are known and I should know about?
I'm using Mavericks with FM 13 quite a few months now. No problems so far.
I'd check on any plugins you're using. Lucky for us even our old unsupported ZippScript still works.
Known Bug List
But please use my Known Bugs List DB with caution. It's a pretty good resource to use when you experience strange FileMaker behavior and want to see if it's something that has previously been reported to FileMaker Inc and confirmed by one of their tech support people. But it's not that good for answering the question asked here. Just because a specific bug report does not mention the Mavericks OS, does not mean that this bug does not occur in Mavericks. And once a bug as been added to the DB, correctly marking it as "closed" in a timely fashion if very problematic. The report is likely to stay marked as "open" unless a) the release notes of a new version specifically mention that the issue is corrected in the new release or b) I happen to notice that the bug has been corrected in my own use of FileMaker or c) a Tech person posts back to the issue report thread that the issue has been fixed and I happen to notice that report.
Pardon me for using this as a moment to "plug" for something, but I could really use a few forum members (especially a Mac user) willing to run through some open bug reports and test to see if they still occur in FileMaker 13. If you are interested, send me a Private Message and I'll discuss this with you. (Jim Gurley was a big help a while back in this way. I can use some more folks willing to do some testing here...)
Thanks for all the responses.
Plus, it's good to know about the http://forums.filemaker.com/posts/ad61a7e781?commentId=265783#265783
I've got it on bookmark/RSS now.
I may move a download link for KBL to my FaceBook page in the near future and if so, you may find it easier to note when a new copy of the database is available (I upload a new copy every 1 to 2 weeks depending on how many new reports have been added) by tracking it there should I do that. I'm thinking in terms of a permanently "pinned" post that lists the KBL and each available Adventures in FileMaking link so that it's a "one stop shop" type arrangement...
and it might help if I included a link to there...
