You can import data from an XML file and while I have not worked with this myself, there's a way to set up a "grammar" file to parse the XML into different fields and records of the specified target table.
In a previous post getting web viewer text content you recommend using GetLayoutObjectAttribute ( "ViewerObjectName" ; "Content" ) This works well for me because XML is just the source. Now I have it in a field via a script like this.
Set Field [ GLOBAL::xxml ; "" ]
Go to Object [ Object Name: "web1" ]
Set Variable [ $result ; Value:GetLayoutObjectAttribute ( "web1" ; "Content" ) ]
Set Field [ GLOBAL::xxml ; $result ]
Could you recommend a function that can search for what comes between tags like
And of course the closing </EndTime> Thanks
It all is text now so I am trying to put something together that says "If" string found = <EndTime> select all until </EndTime>?
Thanks, after reading that and some things I began trying a way to get it done. In the process I found this which does exactly that. Combined with the post I mention above and the custom function it is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you all!
