      Performing a find in a script help

      Post

      I have a script that I am writing to locate files for me. I am using a field called "Case#" and my cases are labeled (ex: E-2008-09-01 or A-2008-10-02 or D-2009-01-01...).

      I am looking just to find the cases that start with the letter "E" or "D".

      I wrote in my perform find: case# @"E""D" but it only gives me my E cases. I tried several different things but have not seen the results I need. Please help.

      Thanks

          Hi Thicks

          You want to use multiple find requests in your script, so in find mode set your field to "E" then create a new request and set the field to "D" as follows

          Enter Find Mode [] // Deselect 'Pause'
          Set Field [ TABLE::case# ; "E" ]
          New Record/Request
          Set Field [ TABLE::case# ; "D" ]
          Perform Find []

          I hope this does the trick.
