    Pie Chart Chaos



      Pie Chart Chaos


      I thought my pie charts were working fine and then I walked away from the project for a month and they are all funky....


      I am using the Contact Management Database as a template and I have two pie charts (one showing active, inactive, terminated, etc...) and another showing number of employees in a category (IT, Management, Administrative, etc...)

      The pie charts are both showing each individual record instead of grouping the like elements (i.e. all active percentages, all inactive percentage, and all terminations) so it should be 3 groups with the combined records for a correct percentage and count instead of 30 separate pie slices.


      Any ideas on what happened or a possible fix?

          The records need to be sorted so they are grouped into those categories. The wedges, bars, etc of FileMaker charts, when based on groups of records, need the same type of sorting you would use for a sub summary part in a summary report.
