Popup window settings not respected by FMGO

I use a lot of popups on my solutions.  While I create ipad specific layouts for usability, I often share popup window layouts between desktop and iPad.  The problem/concern I have, is that although I disable the ability to close a popup window in my desktop solution, FMGO allows the user to minimize the window and them click an X to close it (users can only close a popup using layout buttons (OK or Cancel buttons).  The reason for my concern is that the buttons I use to allow users to close popups, have scripts that execute when the window closes and my data relies on these scripts.  Anyone experience similar behavior?

I can think of a work around if you have Filemaker Advanced:

You can install a custom menu for the pop up window's layout that subsitutes your own script for the standard close window action. This way, you script can process the close window action to do the additional steps that you need before the window is closed.
