No, just the go to related record if you want to pull up the portal records on a layout based on the portal's table. An interesting quirk is that you get all the portal records, but the record clicked in the portal row will be selected as the current record.
Right now I have it setup up so that if I click the number in portal row in the NUMBER_CONTRACT field it goes to the related record.
I have a graphic next to that field in my portal and wanted to make it a button to do that same thing. Is there a way? You might have just told me but I got lost.
Any layout object can be turned into a button. Enter layout mode, select it and then choose button setup... to turn it into a button.
Right I know how to do that but here my question:

When I make the IMAGEa and select go to related record it gives me a warning box: This operation could not be completed because this layout cannot display the results.
when I make CASENUMBER a button it goes to the related record.
How can I make the IMAGE do this
Specify the correct layout in both cases. You get that error message when the specified layout does not refer to the same data source table as the table occurrence on the other side of the relationship you specified in the Go To Related Record Step.
