Portal Fields have become non editable

I'm hoping this is just something very simple that I've overlooked, so the details will be minimal in hopes that is the case. If that's not the case I will submit further details.

     FMPA 12.0v4 - Mac OS 10.8.4

Editable fields in a portal are not allowing entry as expected, but last week they were. The only functions that work in the portal are the two buttons that link to the related records. I'm trying to figure out what I could have done to cause this disconnect.

The portal has multiple editable and non editable fields placed in it, two buttons, and no script triggers.

•The data still displays correctly in the portal.

•Other portals in the database are still functioning normal.

•I have verified that the desired editable fields are accessible for Field entry in Browse Mode.

     •The relationship is still intact.

•Have 'brought to front' the fields in the portal.

•I created a new empty layout, then added a fresh portal from the same table as the one having the issue. Results are the same.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

     Thank you.
