           Hi

           A newbie here.

Can anyone tell me how you can get the new blank(for entering new data) in a portal to appear at the top of the portal rather than the bottom of the list in the portal.

           Many thanks

You can't. It's hardwired to appear below the last portal record.

But you can create a layout that approximates this in at least two ways:

Set a sort order that sorts the most recently created record to the top of the list. Use a button with a script to create a new record in the portal. The button click creates the new portal record and the sort order specified for the layout pops it to the top.

Put a global field for each editable field in the portal row at the top of the portal sized and formatted to look like it's the top row of the portal. use a script trigger to create the new records and copy the data from the global fields to the new portal record before clearing the fields.

                   This could use some edits:

Set a sort order that sorts the most recently created record to the top of the portal. Use a button with a script to create a new record in the portal. The button click creates the new portal record and the sort order specified for the portal pops it to the top.
