In Layout Setup...|Show Records From, you can select one and only one Tutorial: What are Table Occurrences? for each and every layout, but you can refer to any number of tables on your layout from the context of that specified table occurrence.
If you define these relationships:
LayoutTableOccurrence::anyfield X Table1::anyField
LayoutTableOccurrence::anyfield X Table2::anyfield
you can place portals to the Table1 and Table2 table occurrences on your layout and they will list all records in those tables.

Table occurrences can only be created in Manage | Database|Relationships. If "table occurrence" is a new term, please click the link provided in my last post.

It appears that the 1st Portal is linked record-by-record to Table 1
Portal 2 seems OK
They will not be linked record by record if you use the relationships that I have specified. Of key importance is using the X operator instead of = in the relationships.
