Print PDF Issue
When I go to print a "Records being browsed" PDF, only half of the database entries appear in the PDF. Can someone advise why this may be and how to fix it so that all records appear in the PDF?
This is not what I recommended. I asked if two column printing was selected as that would explain why you were only seeing half of your records in your PDF. two column printing should NOT be selected.
By "entries" do you mean Records?
And what records were in your found set at the time?
The "Records Being Browsed" option tells FileMaker to use all the records in your found set so if only half of the records were in your found set at the time, that's what you will get.
When I browsed for particular records I got 261 entries. But when I go to print those browsed records as a PDF it only gives me 131 records in the PDF. It literally skips every other record.
Are you using a script (clicking a button) to save the records as PDF or selecting this option from the File menu? If you are using a script, test your DB by selecting the save as PDF from the file menu as a way to eliminate some possible variables.
What do you see when you preview this layout?
I'm using Print under the File menu as the method to create a PDF. Preview is not an option. I don't know what scripts are or how to manage them?
Select Preview from the View menu. I'm asking you to do this as a way to compare the results that you are getting in the PDF to what you see in preview mode as a test of why it might be producing these results--which are not typical of how FileMaker works.
Same thing happened. It only previews half of the browsed entries.
Can you do this?
Enter layout mode, make sure that the part labels (header, body, etc) are horizontal, capture a screen shot of the layout and upload it.
I'd like to see the design of your layout that you are using for your PDF.
This is it in table view.
This is how I usually work with it.
But I asked for Layout Mode, not table view. I am assuming that you are not trying to PDF from a Table view, but from the form view shown in your second screen shot.
One option occurs to me. Open Layout Setup... Select the Printing tab. Are "columns" selected for this layout? If 2 column printing is specified, that would explain why every other record is not showing when your Preview, Print or Save as PDF.
When I searched for particular information I got 261 records. But when I go to create those searched information as a PDF it only gives me 131 information in the PDF. It basically the requirement for every other history.

To repeat, Enter layout mode. Select Layout Setup... from the Layouts menu. Click the printing tab. Is 2 column printing enabled?
Here is my layout mode. Where is the print tab? Or do you mean File/Print?
Select Layout Setup from the the Layouts menu or click the pencil icon to the left of "Table: Laura_jamestownpanel3". That opens layout setup so that you can find and click that tab.
I enabled print in 2 columns. Tried creating a PDF after that and it came out with less records and strangely overlapping layouts. See image.
I see. No, it was not originally selected
