Generally speaking, portals are not good to use in reports. You should be running the report from the portal's table and using sub-summary parts to break the report by the related tables info.
If you have multiple tables that you are trying to run together in a single report, it is common to write the records to a separate "Report" table (a temporary . Display/print the report and then clear the records.

I've been seeing in various places online that a "report" table is a possibility. I'm just not sure how to create this. So far, my searches online regarding this have been muddy. I'll continue to keep looking. Any help would be wonderful!
A report table is simply another table you define in your database file. You can use import records to copy data into it and then delete the records when you are done with the report.
