Print script step not saving all settings

Print script step not saving all settings

      Post

The "Print .." script step in Filemaker Pro 9 seems to save the Records being browsed/Current record setting but won't save the page range setting like Filemaker 6 used to.

Anyone know why this happens and/or a work around for it that doesn't involve dividing a single 5 page layout into multiple 1 page layouts?

          Thank you for your post.

Make sure you are using version 9.0v3.  There was a problem reported with version 9.0v1, but that was fixed with 9.0v2.

If you are still having a problem, can you tell me more about what version you are using?  The Operating system?  Printer?  Any additional information may help me determine what may be the problem.

I'm using Filemaker Pro Advanced 9.0v3 to create and test the scripts and the databases are being run on Filemaker Server 9.03.326

I'm unable to determine if this is working standalone.

This is what I have done...

              1. I opened a database file and created the following script:

Print Setup [Restore; No dialog ]

              Print [Restore; No dialog ]

I made sure I specified in the print options to print a page range of 3 to 3.

              2. I set the layout to print one record per page.

              3. I entered 10 records.

              4. I went to record 5 and executed the script.  One page was printed with record 3.

What am I doing differently than you?  I would like to duplicate the problem.
