Did you find anything on this solution? I've got a current print speed slow donw issue and can't get around it. I've even upgraded the memory on the machines and still no speed increases.
Not what I've experienced.
It may help to indicate what operating system you have, the version of FileMaker, what and how many printer drivers are installed (local and network) on your computer...
The printer setup dialog has to access your printer drivers so a problem with a specific driver could, in theory at least, result in such a slow response.
I'm now running Mac OS 10.6 and FM user 11 and server 11. We didn't notice these issues when running 10.4 and 10.5 with fm server 7 and user 8. It's obviously a new Bizhub driver based on the 10.6, but the FM software was upgraded as well. I know it's the driver because after removing the printer the users didn't have the slow downs as well as installing the printer with a generic drive there were no slow downs.
Mac Bizhub drivers and FileMaker have not had a smooth relationship. Previous issues appear to have been solved for most models by printer driver updates. Can't say if this latest issue will be solved the same way, but it might. I'd definitely check bizhub's support page for driver updates on a regular basis.
If you want to read up on the previous bizhub issues: Printing from FM 11 or 11 Advance to Konica Minolta C550 crashes Filemaker
This is one of many acknowledged bugs that can be found in the Known Bug List here in the Report an Issue section of the forum.

Thanks for the info. I'll see if our printer provider has any workarounds. Thanks. The Bizhub updates are from feb and august of 2010. Ridiculous!
