      Printing different Layouts based on field information

      Post

      Hi. I am trying to write a script that would print a layout based on the number of lines in a certain field. I have a field named No of lines. I have 5 different layouts based on the number of lines that appear on the form 1-5. In other words, i would like my script to do this: If the number 3 appears in the No of lines field it would print Layout 3. If the number 4 appears it would print Layout 4, etc. Any help on this would be most appreciated and thanks in advance for your help.

          If [YourTable::No of lines = 1]
            Go To Layout [//specify layout for 1 line of text]
          Else If [YourTable::No Of lines = 2]
            Go To Layout [//2 line of text layout]
          Else If [YourTable::No Of Lines = 3]
          //and so on

          IF this is a number field and you position your layouts so that they are the 1st through 5th layouts, you can even make this a one line script:

          Go To Layout [YourTable::No of lines]//use layout number by calculation option
