I cannot find a way to make a URL active in a PDF document unless I use a full version of Adobe Acrobat (not Reader). Doing a quick search using a browser, I found:
If anybody knows of a way to embed the link without using Adobe Acrobat (possibly a plug-in), please post.
Hmmm, it wasn't pretty, but I got the following to work on my XP system:
I pasted the following text into the layout of one of my files:
<a href="http://www.ehow.com/how_8144272_add-hyperlink-acrobat-pdf.html" target="_blank">http://www.ehow.com/how_8144272_add-hyperlink-acrobat-pdf.html</a>
I saved as PDF and the text looked exactly like what you see here, but I found that I could click on it in the PDF and it would open that link in my browser.
