I am also having the same problem. Outlook opens but it doesn't create an email with the attachment.
Can anyone help us?

Can you describe that part of the process in more detail?
Are you using a $Path variable to refer to the attached file?
Sorry to step in but i think this may help to clarify.....
Using the button tool, I created a button on the table i wish to export. I have then set the button to "Save records as Excel". Under "Specify output file" i add the file where i want the exported excel to be saved. at the bottom of this dialogue box where there are "After saving" checkbox options. i have selected both "Automatically open file" and "Create email with file as attachment".
When i use the button in browse mode, it Automatically opens the file ok. Then outlook opens but no email is created. Outlook just opens... thats all.
I am using Filemaker Pro 13.0.v3 and Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011.
I also have Outlook set as my default application for email.
