Check permissions and storage capacity on the folder where the externally stored images are stored. Sounds like she either does not have "write" permission on that directory or the hard drive is full.
And when you moved the file to the server, did you update the storage options to store images in a directory on the server?
She has full permission to the drive and there's plenty of space.
I'll look up how to update the storage options. She's one of four users using this version of the software, so we're learning as we go along.

Try it from a different user account on her client machine. Sometimes permissions get "munged" and need repair.
The other user has the same problem.
They're both using a copy in Dropbox which does not have problems.
