I have FMPro 11 for mac. Does one of the links above address that? Thx
Define a field of type container.
Put it on your layout.
Click into the container field while in Browse mode and use Insert File to insert the document file.
You can select "store a reference" if you want to only store a reference to the file where it is currently located. If you do not select that option, a copy of the file is inserted and stored into the container field.
I suggest that you also look up container fields in FileMaker Help.
Thanks, that worked. Now, is there a way to store more than one PDF or JPEG in the container?
I was trying to drag and drop... doesn't work.
And how does one delete a file from the container field?
It's one file to a container field, But you can define a table of related records with a container field and then you can insert as many documents as you want and use the relationship to link them to the appropriate record in the parent table.
To delete a file from the container field, click the field while in browse mode and press the delete or backspace key.

Could you explain that, step by step to a dummy? Thx
Please start by looking up "Portal" in FileMaker help and any training materials that you have. Setting up related tables in a relational database such as FileMaker is a fundamental skill needed to do nearly anything with the database.
