Range records by profit
I have a table "sales" based on an Excel report of the sales so far this year, simplified it looks something like this:
I regularly update the records as new sales comes in. Now I want a script to add the rating of the customer based on the profit from the SUMMARY row. So if the customer has the highest profit, add the rating "1", second highest add "2", etc.
Any suggestion for how this script could look like?
You might say I could just sort the records by profit, but I want an easy way to see if e.g. the 10th rated customer in 2013 is the 10th so far in 2014 etc.
Thank you for your help!
Do you have a related table of customers with one record for each customer?
What does each row in the table shown represent? The total yearly sales for one customer or something else?
