RE: Making a Global "List" field

Post

I'm trying to make a global list field by doing the following:  Two tables...Global & permissions   linked via a "user" field.  My intention is to create a AllowedPerm(list) field in the Global table  through a lookup calculation. If I remove the global storage requirement the list generates fine but I'm using this list in another script which needs it to be a global storage.  Make sense?

this is my lookup

AllowedPerm         Calculation       Global,from Global, =List (Permissions::SalesRep Allowed)

So based on which user is logged in the allowedperm field goes to the permissions table and returns a list of salesreps that this user is allowed to see.

Any help?

Thanks

Mark
