      Recover Password from Mac keychain

      Post

I am getting a new work computer and can't remember my password for my FileMaker file since I saved it years ago in my Mac keychain and it opens automatically now.  How can I retrieve the password so I can move my current file to my new computer?

          Try

Open Applications > Utiliites > Kechain Access

At left choose the LOGIN keychain and the PASSWORDS category.

Look for the "FileMaker Pro" item or items under the KIND list.

Double click the one you need to find.  Check the box that says SHOW PASSWORD at the bottom of the dialog.  You will be prompted for your login password for access.  Once you authenticate you will see the password in the field.
