And what are you using to "find" the image?
It would seem that you only need to insert the File with the "store a reference" option into a container field that does not specify external storage as a storage option.
A script can use the file name and path to insert a reference to each such image into container fields.
Ok.... This works..
"imagewin://18.104.22.168/technology/Capitol Area Technology/MASTERIMAGE//"&Index#Photo&".jpg"
What I want to do is change the location of the folder to Local C:
That's what I cant get to work
Are you using Container fields?
Do you want to move the files to the local C: drive and then update the container fields to refer to the files now relocated to this new location?
Or something different?
Calculating Fields as Container Type
If you are calculating the file path then you just need to figure out what change to make in your calculation. Remember this thread? Exploring the use of a $Path Variable in Scripts
There's an exploration file you can dowload where you can move a file to the new location and then insert it into a container field in order to see the exact filepath to the file at the new location. That should provide the needed details in order to update your calculation so that it refers to the new file location instead of the old.
Note: There's no real reason to sue a calculation field with a container result type like this unless you are supporting "by reference" links to images for both Mac and windows users of the same database.
