In the relationship from Client to Call_Appointments,
Do you have "Allow creation of records in this table, via this relationship" ticked under the Call_Appointments (left side) of the relationship ?
That should present you with a blank portal row (last row) ready for data entry.
The other option is to use the following method : 7th post down on the following page
Thanks SWS. I do The funny thing is I do have the blank row available but only if another record was started there in the Call_Appointments layout. In the Client layout the fields are present in the portal, but when I click on one they and all the fields in the layout have the little dot outline. And, I am not able to get the cursor in there.
I'll take a look at your link. Thanks again.
Steve your solution got things started. Thanks.
What I discovered was that I set the Initial row as 2 in the portal set up. I was thinking I wanted two rows worth of space. That's probably not what that means but when I set it to one everything was solved. Well, nothing like spending a couple of hours learning something new no matter how trivial it is, right? lol
