Relational issues

I've been using a relational dbase for years. I have a main table with student info (table 1), and the rest all have one to many with mentioned table.

Now I'm  running into the possible need to have 2 tables with the same level of importance. Scenario: One student has one set of parents. At the same time one set of parents can have multiple students (syblings). I'm running into a what I think is a many to many relationship. Having avoided this for a long time, I'm not sure how to go about it. I've read a bit on using a join table, but so far haven't gotten the results I'm looking for.

I basically need to be able to create a student record; then add the parent info. Sounds simple, but then come the syblings that also share same parents, phone numbers and address.

Make sense? Any help will be greatly appreciated to help me sort through this issue.

Thanl you very much.
