      Relationships

      Post

What decides in the relationships graph if the relationship between two tables is one to many or many to one, many to many etc.

I have two tables that are joined by a many to many relationship.

I have another two that are joined by a many to one relationship.

I cannot see (read totally clueless) as to why one is different to the other.

      Any help gratefully accepted. :)

just look at the each end of the line towards the table occurance.

if it has one line means one if it has 3 line means many

          e.g

          one-many

similay you can get other solutions.

          thanks

The field options of the key field used in the relationship will control what indicators appear in the relationship graph.

            Global fields show a |

Data fields that are not validated as unique nor define as auto-entered serial numbers show "crows feet" as they CAN be the "many" side of a relationship.

Unique or auto-entered serial number fields will show  a single line as they can only be a "one" side of the relationship.
