Do you need to see these columns only when printing or also in browse mode?
You can try using layout setup to specify printing in columns, but this change will not affect what you see in browse mode.
You may need to set up a row of one row portals to display your data in columns. A portal row can be resized so that one row looks like the "mini form" format that you have posted here.
I only need to see the columns when the report prints. I'll play with your suggestions above. If you have any other advice, let me know. Thanks for your help.
I now have it printing in more than one column, as you mention above. Thanks! One more question on this topic. I would like to have a column of row titles down the first column with fields of data print in the 3 or 4 columns to the right. How do I set up a title column?
That would be a nice trick, but I can't think of any easy way to do it.
You might be able to do this with calculation fields that display data only for records where their record number indicates that they are in column 1, but empty for the other columns., but you are stuck with columns of equal width so you end up with all the space set aside for the labels in all the columns, not just the first so I doubt that would be acceptable anyway.
That leaves the much more laborious option of using one row portals...
