Will this query data from multiple records or is there just one record with the specified value in Person_Id?
For just one record, you can specify ¶ as the field separator and use GetValue to extract the value for specific fields from the query results in $Result.
In this case there is only one record per PersonID. So your suggestion to use the paragraph marker as a field separator is great. An interesting question would be how would I do it if there were multiple records returned? I would think that using the comma for field and the paragraph marker for record would work. But how do you separate each record out, then each field. I know this may sound very elementary to you, but I am still learning the ins and outs of FM beyond the basics.
Answering very elementary questions are this forum's reason for existence.
To extract the first field from the first record with ¶ specified as the record separator and a ", " specified as the field separator:
GetValue ( Substitute ( getValue ( QueryFieldHere ; 1 ) ; ", " ; ¶ ) ; 1 )
That one goes into the tool kit. I can see it being used for a lot of situations with multi-record, multi-items.
