Returning multiple records from related tables
I've started using FM 11 Pro four days ago and managed to help myself via tutorials and what not, but for this problem I couldn't come up with a solution, so here I am.
What I have:
1 excel file with more or less 30 contacts and 30 roles, 1 contact can have multiple roles (up to 6). I've imported the data into a FM table and called it "ConRol".
1 excel file with the exact same roles and about 150 documents, 1 role can have multiple documents (up to 20). I've imported the data into a FM table and called it "RolDoc"
What I need:
I want to be able to either enter a contact's name or choose it from a drop-down list and, as soon as I did that, I want every document related with this person to appear, maybe each one as a single record in a portal?
Is that possible? How would you go about this problem? I tried some things out, but nothing works. I have trouble creating good tables, cuz there are 27 different roles and I made 27 different fields for every role.
