      Rounding

      Post

I have a simple formula to figure Social Security to withhold: Soc.Security*.062

How do I specify to round the result to 2 decimal points?  Thanks

          Round ( Soc.Security * .062 ; 2 )

UPDATE:  This is for standard rounding.  Do you have different rounding rules to apply, such as always round up or always down?

LaRetta, many thanks.  You helped a lot.  One more question: how do I specify in a Summary formula that when the accumlated total adds up to a number that is something like 100.20 and I want to keep the final "0" in the decimal?  Right now it drops the final zero if the decimal total ends in a "0".  Thanks for your help.  J.

That's not rounding, but formatting: select the field in Layout mode, and choose Format > Number… > Format as decimal.
