Title

Running DOS command line to open FM11 file AND pass value to script parameter.

Post

I an working on an interfce with other software.  I want to be able to pass the customer ID to a script via its parameter, but cannot see a way to accomplish that.

The following command line will open up a file:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 11 Advanced\FileMaker Pro Advanced.exe" "C:\Users\user\Documents\TestFile.fp7"

However, what would like is a command line that looks something like this:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 11 Advanced\FileMaker Pro Advanced.exe" "C:\Users\user\Documents\TestFile.fp7" "Script:Customer_Open(9999)"

... unfortuneately, FM11 does not have any means that I can see for pulling the command line parameter.

I also looked at using Dynamic Data Echange, to the same end, but FM11 offers weak support for DDE.

Does anyone have any simple solutions or suggestions?

thanks ... SCOOP
