Thanks for your answer, but I never changed the menus, that is the reason why I didn't bother upgrading to Advance, don't need it.
Any other reason, maybe?
Try creating a new file with FM10. More than likely you will see the option.
Correct. So maybe I did change the menus.
I am assuming if I reinstall 8.5 Advance I should be able to get rid of this "custom menu".
Anything I should know, or look for, or is there a setting to turn off?
Thanks again for any help
A lot easier than I thought!
It turns out all I had to do was select: "Standard Filemaker Menus" in my case is a submenu of "Modules", in Pro 10.
Then I can save all the finds I want, the next time I open Filemaker all my finds are saved (but can't save new ones)
Small price to pay.
Thanks all for your help!
Using FMPA 10v3. MAC OS 10.6.1.Saved Finds sub-menu not only doesn't show up in custom menus, but it seems it can't be added as a new command in custom menus. I can't find any way to access this sub-menu or the commands therein to make a copy to insert in one of my menus. Since all my layouts use custom menus I wasn't even aware of saved finds for some time except through the documentation. So, is there no way to use these commands except within the standard Filemaker menu set? Most of my files originated in FMPA 9.
Did you see the link that I referred to? If you follow that process exactly, then it should be available to you. Colin was on a mac. Basically you only need to do it once for each file. After you add the item in, you can use it in an empty set.
Many thanks. I had not followed the link but it works perfectly.
