      save exported data from server on user desktop

      Post

      Dear All,

      I have a database on the server. My colleagues are accessing the database and keep it up-to-date. Some time we need to export the current browsed data  and save it on the user desktop. Because the database is on the server any time I try to save it on the desktop I get an error message  ( "MyFileName" can not be created on this disk). My code is as follow

      Show Custom Dialog[...$MyFileName..]

      Set Variable [$FileName; Value:$MyFileName & ".xls"]

      Set Variable [$Username; Value:Get(UserName)]

      Export Records [ File Name: "filemac:/Macintosh HD/Users/$Username/Desktop/$FileName" User filed names as column names; Unicode(UTF-16); Field Order:...]

       How can I save exported file on user desktop?

      I will appreciate your help

      Thaks in advance

          I got the solution. I changed it to

          ...

          Set Variable [$FileName; Value:$MyFileName & ".xls"]
          Set Variable [$Username; Value:"file:" & Get (DesktopPath) & $FileName & ".xls"<!-- POLLS --><!-- FILES --> ]

          Export Records [ No Dialoge; "$Username"; User filed names as column names; Unicode(UTF-16); Field Order:...]

          Thanks
