Take a look at the Go To Related Record script step. When performed to go to the portal's table by clicking a button in the portal row, the same record clicked in the portal row is the current record in the resulting found set produced by the GTRR script step.
Thanks for the quick reply. I gave GTRR a go, but I it still has the same result.
Just to clarify we are discussing the same process. The required steps are as below and shown in the attached screen shot)
- I have a filtered protal. I need to select a record in that filtered record (button)
- this need needs to go to the original record in the unfiltered set.
I have FMP Advanced 12
Go To Related record should do that. I am describing, but I am also assuming that you want to change layouts when you do this. Is that correct?
If you have this relationship:
Go To Related Record [Show only related records; From table: PortalTable; Using layout: "PortalTable" (PortalTable) ]
should take you to a different layout and display the clicked portal record as the current record.
