Script to always return you to last viewed layout
Does anyone know if it is possible to write a script that always returns you to a previous layout reguardless what layout you were on. Kind of like the back button on a web browser.
Howdy again thicks,
Thanks for the post.
There have been a couple of threads on the forum about this topic from different angles...
try searching the forum for "back button" or "back" and you'll get some pertinent threads including this one:
Have a great one!
I use a script that toggles back and forward between the layout you navigated to and the layout you were last on. That is:
- you are in the layout FormView, say
- you click a navigation button to take you to layout ListView
- you clcik a 'Back' button to take you back to FormView.
- click the 'Back' button again it will toggle back to ListView
The trick is simply to make a script that captures the current layout in a global field. Attach that script to be the first step of any navigation script. Whenever you click the 'Back' button it goes to the saved 'Last Layout' and replaces it with the 'new' one.
Is that what you meant?
