Script to log into multiple files

      Post

      Hi

I have about five separate file databases all of which need to be logged into by me as the administrator. at the moment I have to type

the username and password five times. I can't figure out a script that means i only have to type the username and password once, that then copies this to the other files for execute the process automatically.

      I would appreciate any help.

      Regards

If you have defined exactly the same account name and password for each. (Don't forget that passwords are case sensitive), then you can use a script such as:

          Open File (file1)
          Open File (file2)
          etc.....

To open all the other files. In this primary file, you can use File Options to run this script when the file is opened. You'd open this file, enter your account name and password, then the script is performed and it uses the password you just used to open all of the other files listed in your script.
