      I am creating a database in which there are multiple tabs in a layout.  I want to create a button with a script that will cause another tab to open when finished.  How do I go about doing this?  Is there a good reference location to better learn about scripts?

      Thanks in advance for your help!

          You can use Go To Field or Go To Object and specify a field or object on the file tab you wish to open.

          To learn more about scripts:

          Keep posting your questions here.

          Use google to find other FMP forums to browse through

          Down load a tutorial

          Buy a book.

          None of the above suggestions are exclusive. A lot depends on how much you already know about databases and programming. It also depends on how much you want to invest in learning how to script.

            Thanks for you prompt response!

            That will definitely be useful, but is there a way to jump to another tab or field based on the answer to that field or radio button?

              If [Table::field = 5]

                Go TO Field [Yourtable::FieldonTabA]

                Go To Field [Yourtable::fieldOnTabB]

              End If

              Use an expression that works for you in the if step and specify fields from your tab control in each Go To Field step.

              For more than two tabs, use Else If.
