Yes, this problem was reported recently, and it only occurs on Windows. As more objects/fields are added to the layout, the slower the speed.
Our Development and Software Quality Assurance (Testing) departments are aware of this issue, but no additional information is available at this time.
Thanks for your prompt and honest response. My user and I will be patiently awaiting a resolution for this bug. In the meantime we will stick with v 9 for the XP folks.
Some users have improved their screen refresh rates by updating the drivers to their video cards. Any chance that might make the issue less obnoxious?
I have updated all the video drivers and no matter what XP machine we tested it on, scroll lists and portals are 2x-5x faster in 9 than 10. What I am describing isn't the dreaded flashing layout issue - that seems to be machine specific. This issue (at least for our 70 + XP boxes) is universal.
