Is it possible to set records up so they can not be deleted or changed unless a password is put it without going through differtent Privilege Sets?

For example: I would like to create a record (job) and be able to modify it, but when I close the job I would like to check a box to enchure it wont get changed.

           Thanks

This can be done with Record Level Access Control. You can set up a "lock expression" in the privilegeset that the user is using that is only true for a specific value in the check box field. The check box field can be in a different table that is not so locked or you can use a "run with full accesse privileges" script to modify the field if you want the same user to be able to unlock the record.

See "Editing record access privileges" in FileMaker Help and check out this particular sub section: "Entering a formula for limiting access on a record-by-record basis" for a detailed description of how to set this up.
