Setting up a CHRON job in Filemaker

      Post

           Hi all

Does anyone know if it's possible to set up a chron job in Filemaker (12)?

I want to trigger a script at eg midnight every night. (The script will use someting like FTPeek to go and download a file to my db.)

I'm sure it can be done using some sort of time field?

           Thanks all in advance

You can setup an Install OnTimerScript to perform a script at a certain time, which will require the database to be running all the time.

You didn't specify if you were using an Apple or Windows pc.  Windows has task scheduler that can be set to run a program at any given time.  I'm not sure if the mac has a task schedule built in, but I'm sure is has something.
