Show and Hide a image based on conditional formating?
i want to show and hide a image based on a weather a field is yes or no value. has anyone done conditional formatting with more than just text fields?
Images cannot be controlled by a conditional format expression (well maybe, but it'd be pretty unusual and you don't need to.)
Option 1: Put your image in a portal set up such that when the field = "yes" there's a valid relationship and the image appears. Clear the field or select a different value and it will disappear.
Option 2: put the image inside a transparent tab control with two tab panels--one with the image and one without. Give each tab panel an object name. Use a script controlled by a script trigger on your "yes" field that uses Go To Object to select a tab panel and thus make the image appear or disappear. You may need a second trigger that uses OnRecordLoad to select the correct panel when you first bring up the record on your layout.
too bad there wasnt a conditional way to do it, would be easier i think, but atleast there are other ways to do so, option two seems to be the best way for me, ill give it a go, is there also a way to make the image grayscale for when i want to print it, or do i need to gray it myself and add as a seperate image?
You'll need a separate image.
ok Option 2 worked great! thanks for the help :D
PhilModjunk - Quick question
For option two how do set an object name for each tab panel. Do you mean set a tab name for each tab?
